His Answer is YES!!!

As we conclude our 40 day prayer initiative, we can know for sure that God will answer our prayers in His will, in His way, in His time...

Consider these Scriptures...

2 Corinthians 1:20- "For every one of God's promises is "YES" in Him."

Isaiah 41: 10- "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, YES I will help you."

Psalm 85:12- "YES, the Lord will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase."

These Scriptures tell us that God is saying Yes to us! He is for us, not against us! Isn't that good news?

God may not always answer our prayers exactly the way we would want, but He does answer them. And more often than not, His answers are "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine." (Ephesians 3:20).

Please continue to pray for CCCS each day throughout this school year. Feel free to post your prayers on this blog. Blessings to you and your family!!!

Thoughts for Today

These are some thoughts to meditate on as we pray together today:

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Phillipians 1:6
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!!! All we have needed, His hand has provided.

Amen.

More Prayers for Covenant

James 1:17- “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
Jeremiah 29:122- “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Isaiah 65:17- “For behold I create new heavens and a new earth”
Dear Heavenly Father,
We claim all of the above scriptures and others from your Word for Covenant Classical Christian School. We believe that this school is a precious gift which You have given to us so that we may live and work and play together in fellowship as followers of your son, Jesus Christ. You have called us to be stewards of this gift and to give our hearts, minds, time, talents, and resources to support this school in any way that we can whether we be teachers, administrators, students, board members, parents, grandparents, or members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Help us be faithful to You in this, O Lord.
We believe you have a bright and prosperous future designed for us which You gave us a glimpse of during our Vision Planning Workshop in January 2011. We are trusting You for this future Lord and we envision a day when our campus is flourishing with more students in each grade and the ability to provide more opportunities and resources for students and teachers alike.  We envision a beautiful, clean, and safe campus with new equipment and technology. Dear Lord, we ask You to make this vision a reality.
We don’t mean to seem ungrateful for all the blessings you have already bestowed. We are so thankful for the peace and camaraderie that we experience at Covenant, for the spiritual and academic growth we see in our students each and every year, and for all the many other ways you pour out your grace and love on us daily.
But Lord, You know our need for a new and refreshed energy and for new families to help support our school. You know our desire to provide new curriculum and technology to advance the education we are able to provide. You know the condition of our facilities and the need to restore and renovate them to make them new again. You are the Creator of the universe and even now we know that You are creating new things at this very moment. We pray that you will bless us with new life for our school too.
Father, help us to do all things in a manner pleasing to you and for your glory and to wait patiently for the answers to our prayers.
We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer for Teachers

A Prayer for Teachers

God of Love-  Thank you for every teacher who notices a child's special gift. Thank you for teachers who are listeners and gentle guides. Thank you for teachers who expect much and love enough to demand more. Thank you for the special teacher each one of us remembers.

God of Mercy- Sustain teachers who give everything they have and feel discouraged when so much is expected of them. Strengthen teachers who assume the blame for problems beyond their control. Help exhausted teachers rest.

God of Strength- Encourage teachers to care and inspire them to nourish. Motivate teachers to keep on learning for the fun of it and to make learning fun for children.

We wonder at teachers who know how to quiet a class of five-year-olds or help fourth grade girls be empathetic. We admire teachers who enjoy middle school writers, or teach physics or math or civics. We cannot even imagine how to help every single student achieve their dreams. Bless the people who are expected to accomplish these miracles and who know how to comfort children when miracles don't happen.

Grant our teachers the fruits of your Spirit- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control. Grant them wisdom and courage and strength in all that they do.

We pray these things in the name of our great teacher, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayers for Covenant July 9-14

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the blessing of this precious school and for all of the Christian families who serve and are served in this place. Dear Lord, please bring more families our way and help our enrollment to grow according to your perfect plan. Please bless and multiply all the many gifts of time and money that so many have given in recent months to improve our school to glorify you. Lord, we know that our efforts and striving are worthless without your divine intervention.

Dear Lord, please bless the new families who will join our community this coming school year, help them to find Christian fellowship and a sense of belonging and also use us to meet their needs, both great and small.

Dear Lord, please grant us success in our fundraising efforts for the upcoming year and provide all the financial resources we need to operate the school effectively. Help us to be good stewards of our finances. Please protect our families from economic hardships and alleviate the struggle and burden many face in making ends meet. Help each family have the ability to pay their tuition on time and also be able to give generously to our fundraising efforts. Please bring new donors, partners, and sources of income our way.

Father, we are so grateful for the tremendous blessings you have poured out to make our campus feel "new" again.Thank you for all the families who have volunteered to help make the Flip-Flop possible. Please help us to maintain and continue to improve our facilities.  Help us to keep our campus and classrooms clean and orderly so that we can represent you well. Please help the heating and air conditioning systems, roof, and other aspects of our buildings be maintained in good working order this coming year and also help our students and teachers adjust to the new arrangement of space.

Most importantly, Lord we pray for our students in both the Grammar School and Upper School. We pray that the students will develop lasting friendships, a passion for lifelong learning, and most importantly a loving and dynamic relationship with your son Jesus Christ.

Amen
